2020年利物浦大学伦敦校区要关！已经递交申请的你慌了吗？

英国当地时间10月24日，利物浦大学官方通知，利物浦大学决定于2020年关闭伦敦校区！据了解，此番关闭利物浦伦敦校区是个大动作：基于大学的战略重点发展，之后将重点推动供世界各地学生使用的在线课程。
对此官方声明是这个样子的：
利物浦大学教育负责人Gavin Brown表示： The University of Liverpool was the first non-London based Russell Group university to open a campus in London, an achievement we are extremely proud of. For the past six years, we have delivered a professionally focused portfolio to an international community of postgraduate students and delivered innovative final year options to our undergraduates. “作为罗素集团在伦敦开设校区的第一所非伦敦大学，利物浦大学伦敦校区为国际生群体提供了专业的作品集，并为本科生提供了创新的毕业选择。” During this period however, our strategic priorities have evolved and we are now seeking to focus our energy on driving access to education through a dual local and global vision, which will see a major programme of investment in our campus in Liverpool alongside the launch of a new generation of online programmes accessible to students all over the world. This reflects our civic mission to achieve positive economic and social change and means that, regrettably, our strategic focus for the immediate future has moved away from maintaining a presence in the capital. “学校对未来方向做了调整，将投资重点放在利物浦校园内推出的新一代在线课程，让世界各地的学生都可以访问该课程。我们对后续未来的战略重点已从维持伦敦校区的存在上转移开。” 利物浦大学伦敦校区在2013年正式对外招生，设立的目的是为了借助伦敦地区的区位优势，方便学生在毕业之后能够更便捷、更有效率地找到工作和实习机会。
话说，利物浦大学是全球排名前1%的世界顶尖大学，罗素大学集团成员。伦敦校区位于伦敦心脏地带之一的金融城，学校建筑很像苏格兰皇家银行总部。
那么，可能有些今年已经递交了利物浦伦敦校区的童鞋开始慌张了：“ 我这是要没学读了？ ”还有小伙伴在调侃：“ 我学校要没了。 ”
小学诚在这里跟大家说，放宽心。针对已递交伦敦校区申请的学生，后续可以选择主校区同等专业或替代专业。而针对新的2020年秋季入学的学生申请，学校将不再接收。因所有伦敦课程从2020年9月起已陆续停止，因此利物浦大学建议申请者们申请一个与他们最初申请的伦敦课程相似的，合适的替代课程。
